Dazed and Confused

Dress- Vintage, Tights- ASOS, Socks- Ralph Lauren, Vest- Forever21, Boots- Frye, Necklace- Forever21, Bangles- Aldo, Forever21, Masons Boutique, Glasses- Ray Ban, Watch- MK

Hey there everyone, sorry I haven't had any posts lately! It is so hard to get someone who is available at the same time I am to take pictures for me! I really need to get a tripod! Today was a super busy day at work, I knew I would be on my feet all day so I took the more comfortable way out!  I love this dress, I just recently bought it at a vintage store and have been waiting to wear it! It is actually a lot longer than it seems, it comes with a belt so I belted it and tugged on the top until it folded over and brought the bottom up!  You can also do this with maxi dresses!  I am loving the trend of over the knee and knee high socks, it gives your boots something a little extra!  This big guy in the picture is my puppy Gordo, he is absolutely crazy so it is hard to capture him on film! He was trying to lick me to death, I attempted to get down on his level for a picture but he trampled over me!  He loves it when my husband and I come out to play, he starts running around the yard full speed in circles! He has so much energy he doesn't know what to do with it!  After a long day of work and a little bit of play I am off to teach YOGA, and work on the stresses of the day!  Okay I am a poet and didn't even know it! Till next time........................

Spring Forward!

White T- Old Navy, Floral skirt- Rffraff boutique, Grey flats- Charlotte Russe, Watch- MK, Bangles- Aldo&Forever21, Belt- Forever21, Cardigan- New York & Co, Glasses- Rayban

Today was insanely warm, it is the end of February and 72 degrees! Usually right now we would have at least ice or snow on the ground! Yikes, kinda scared of what is to come! You know it is going to do something it is just a matter of when! I can't even imagine what this summer will be like if this weather stays warm!  So today I got up and looked at the weather channel since it is apparent we never know what the temperature will be!  I saw that it was going to be warm so I decided to bring on the spring fashion! I love all the bright colors for spring, especially the neon's, I can't handle a whole neon piece but I sure love pops of it! This high low skirt is perfect for spring, it is airy and bright!  Since I was working today I didn't want to get too dressy so I paired it with a white-t, and flats, and if I were going out tonight I would throw on a collard shirt, blazer, and a pair of platforms! I am loving this warm weather but it sure messes with my wardrobe choices, on account that I cleaned all my summer clothes out, and moved all winter in!

Love Is In The Air

BE MINE?

Skirt and Shirt- Forever21, Tights- H&M, Shoes- UrbanOG, Blazer- Bananan Republic,  Watch- MK

Valentine's day came early for me! My sweetie took me to eat at an amazing restaurant called Theo's! The atmosphere of the this place is just so swanky and fun, with a very modern twist!  The food is to die for.  We started the night off with a few drinks, then it was time to sit down and feast on nothing short of amazing!  My husband and I had the ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes, I was so full half way through the meal but just couldn't bare to leave any on my plate :-)!  I also finally decided to give brussel sprouts a try, and they were surprisingly delicious!  I was expecting to feel somewhat nauseous after popping one in my mouth, but was shocked at how much they taste like broccoli!  To end the night we decided to bare the cold and walk across the street to a nice little blues bar, where the band was hopping, and so was the crowd! It seemed like everyone had the same idea as us, at least we were able to nab a seat because my feet were definitely going to fall off!

My outfit was not something that kept me warm in the 20 degree weather, but I just couldn't resist wearing my new plaid skirt!  When I was trying to decide what to wear I asked my husband "What should I wear honey?", he replied with " Ummmmm are you really asking me that?"! I had to explain to him that I was trying to say, what does he like to see me in, he was super quick to say I like it when you wear you skirts and dresses with tights and heels! I have trained him well he he he!  I put an outfit together and I told him it looked a little school girlish, and well I think we all know his response to that one! So this was the outfit he choose, I wanted to make sure he liked it because he was going to be the one looking at me all night!  Way to go honey for the inspiration for this outfit!

Sister Sick!

AWWWWW,  I MISS MY SISTER!

This is completely off the subject of Fashion but there wasn't anyone available to take pictures today! So how about a little montage to my little sister Paige!

I am really missing my little sister today! She recently moved to Cleveland in August! She is super busy being completely awesome, she is currently in school to become a Nurse Practitioner! I am so proud of her but wish she was a little closer! From Arkansas it is about a 14-15 hour drive! And we all know that plane tickets are just ridiculous right now! I got to see her for a little bit during Christmas and I LOVED it :-)! I am not sure when the next time I will be seeing her is, and that makes me very very sad :-(. But on a brighter note she will be finished in just another year and a half, then she can hopefully choose somewhere closer for grad school! I will be jumping for joy when that day comes!  She has definitely got her life on track and is one determined W-O-M-A-N! I went through and picked a few pictures of us through the past few years, best buds! We also have another little sister, the baby, she is still here with me and turning into such a young woman! My babies are growing up, ha ha ha! I put a little shout out in there for Mal!! I love those girls!

Ladies Will Be Ladies

(Coat, Shirt, Shorts- Forever21, Tights- H&M, Shoes- Express, Bangles- Aldo, Masons Boutique, Watch- MK)

I just love it when all the girls in my family come to town for a ladies lunch! Those days usually start off with one or two of them getting their hair colored, then its off to the hen house to hear the latest! We used to go to this delicious Mediterranean cafe, but it recently closed down! So what do we do to make the lunch even better?  We all gather at someones house to wine and dine!  We had a light lunch of sandwiches, hummus, and chips, and finished the day off with a glass of wine and a cupcake! Once again it was a lovely day, a tid bit windy, but the temperature was nice! I finished the night with teaching my yoga class! It is so hard to work all day, then pull yourself up to the gym! Honestly the hardest part is getting there, if you can make it there then you already defeated one challenge! I also helps that I have people that depend on me to be there to make them sweat :-) !

I bought these adorable suede shorts on Monday knowing that i had the perfect top and jacket to go with them!  Lately my style has been very much influenced by my new hair style! I normally don't part my hair in the middle, but when I do I feel so retro!  I am in love with my army green jacket, I pair it with a lot of stuff! It's nice to have a jacket that is light enough for a warm day, and breathable to wear all day long! Tights are my go to trend, I have a few different colors but mostly stick with black! There really isn't a color that doesn't go with black!  To insure that you have a cute outfit to wear to work, try picking it out the night before! Who really wants to put together an outfit after they were so rudely interrupted from their slumber with an annoying alarm clock?!

Well today was somewhat of a chaotic mess!  I got up earlier than usual, curled my hair and did my makeup!  Ok sounds great so far right!  Well I got in my car to head to work a little early also, and I had made a delicious hot chocolate, still sounds pretty calm so far!?  Well apparently I haven't been drinking long because when i raised my mug to take a drink I completely missed my mouth!  I'm pretty sure that I might have yelled a few naughty words, oops!  All I could think about were my clothes, I didn't care that i had possibly horrible burns, that my tan car seat was soaked with CHOCOLATE, or that I came super close to running over a curb!  No No not this lady, she is worried about her clothes!  So me being neurotic, had to turn around and head back to the house to change because a girl can't walk around all day with a huge chocolate stain on her lap!  From there the day just turned into a disaster, I was flustered so I was late to work, being late put me behind all day, and I hate being late because I know that I would get impatient waiting for 20 min!  Luckily I have some amazing clients who are so sweet and know that being late is my pet peeve!  My clients definitely make my days, nothing like a hilarious gripe fest!

Anyway lets get to the fun part of my day, FASHION!  I am totally loving the sequins trend!  There are so many ways to wear them!  Dress up a pair of jeans, add with some nice slacks or skirt and you have a perfect evening look, or make a t-shirt glamourous with a pop of sparkle!  Who wouldn't want to walk down the street and have the wall light up beside you like a disco ball from the reflecting moon?!  I mean doesn't everyone want to have that dance with John Travolta?  I love unexpected glam pieces, more than likely you will have a million people looking at you thinking, " Oh I love that look, just wasn't sure I could pull it off,  if she can wear that, then surely I could!"  There is nothing like inspiring someone to stand out from the crowd!  So ladies don't be afraid of a zany fashion trend, light up someones life with a disco flashback!

Pumped Up Kicks

Hey there everyone!  I had to feed my shopping addiction today, I am off work on Mondays so it is the perfect time to hit up the mall!  I was browsing around for a while and couldn't help but notice all of the spikes on things! I think this trend is awesome, it is a great way to give yourself just enough attitude!  Who doesn't feel like a bad A%$ rocker when wearing spikes?! I recently purchased some wicked leopard loafers with spikes all over them!  I got them from one of my favorite websites Romwe.com.  The key to wearing spikes is to not get carried away, try picking just small pieces such as accessories at first.  When you get extra brave pick an interesting jacket or pants! I try to pair my spikes with fairly neutral clothing, that way the spikes are in the spotlight!

Pieced Together

INSPIRATION FOR MY NEW HAIR COLOR AND STYLE!

                   DEEP ORANGE- RED / PART

                        LIGHT GOLD-ORANGE / CURLS

MEDIUM GOLD-ORANGE
BANGS / STYLE

Today I had a "me" day at the salon! I got an updated color, and style! Whenever I am trying to find a haircut, color, or style I always pic out a few pictures. I look to them for inspiration and means of explaining! With these I couldn't decide on a specific color, so I kind of pulled from all 3. I want to have the base color between light and medium gold-orange, and then wanted low lights in the deep orange-red. I went from being a brunette, to a red head almost 2 years ago and couldn't be happier with that choice! I can't picture my hair ever being any other color. I loved the bangs in the 3rd picture, and had somewhat damaged facial pieces, so why not get rid of all the bad hair with longer bangs?! I am really loving the super loose bohemian waves, so I got a great tutorial from the blog runningonhappiness! And I always have my hands in my hair, so i like to be very versatile with the direction of my part! Getting a new do always makes you feel so much better, it is like an instant face lift! Don't be afraid to try something different and stand out from the crowd!

Downtown Flavor

Dress and belt- Forever21, Shoes- Express, Tights- ASOS, Watch- MK, Gold Screw Bracelet- Mason's Boutique, Leopard Bangles- Forever21, Purse- Aldo, Hat- Dillard's

The weather today was simply amazing! There were no signs of a cold front coming our way! One of my dear friends came to visit me at work, and I had a bit of free time so we hopped downtown for some lunch and a photo opt. We enjoyed our lunch at a little sidewalk cafe, with the sunshine and beautiful breeze! It is just so hard to believe that it is the middle of winter, or so we thought!

Today my choice of outfit was a winter tribute to spring! Again I am wearing color, for the longest time  I was a black, white, and occasionally red wearer.  I don't really pay attention to colors that go well with my skin tone or body shape, I tend to pick clothes that mesh well with my hair! All the new colors for spring are making me feel so cheerful! And it definitely has been putting a smile on everyone else's face! Don't be afraid to stand out from the crowd! When I wake up in the morning I try to think of an accessory or a piece of clothing that is going to make people look twice! Try adding in a unique vintage piece or unusual combination (don't be afraid to experiment)!

Rain Rain Go Away

Jeans and Shirt- Gap, Jacket and Belt- Forever21, Scarf- Trends, Boots- Dillard's, Purse and Bangles- Aldo, Glasses- Ray Ban, Watch- MK, Grey Screw Bracelet- Mason's Boutique

Layering is huge for winter, if it will ever get cold enough to stand the warmth! I like to pair jeans with a structured top, such as a button up, with maybe a slouchy sweater or baggy jacket. As you can tell I LOVE arm candy! And sometimes I like to take a little walk on the wild side with a glimpse of leopard print! Nothing makes a girl feel sassier than to wear leopard! This outfit was perfect for this day, it was nasty and drizzling outside! A way to make a gloomy day feel better is to get a little dressed up! You will be amazed by all the compliments!

On rainy days I definitely don't feel like doing anything with my hair, because due to moisture it is a frizzy mess! The top knot is a great way to look chic without having to put any effort into it! You can wear it slicked back like so or if you are self conscious about your ears or forehead, you can always wear bangs and wisps in front!

Ready to Go

Whooo hooooo, it's finally ready to go!

Welcome Everyone, I am super excited to bring you the latest in fashion, and my views on the subject!
I will also be posting random makeup and hair tutorials throughout the blog! ENJOY!!

Wind Maker

Shirt and Jeans- Forever21, Boots- Steve Madden, Scarf- Trends Salon, Bangles-Aldo,
Watch- MK, Screw bracelet- Masons Boutique

My style is forever changing, I change the personality of my clothing on a day to day basis! One day you might see me as a girly girl, hippie, rocker, chic-grundge, preppy, or a pinup girl! I think I pretty much covered all the bases! There is a little bit of something for everyone!

As of right now the weather in Arkansas is so finicky, one day it will be warm then the next cold! It is hard to choose things to wear because you want to dress for warm weather but yet it is winter! The way to get the best of both worlds is to pair a light jean with a breezy sheer top! I always keep a scarf on hand this time of year for the fact that although it might be warm with the sun out, when it goes down it could possible be frigid!

I love to add pops of color with neutrals. If you are not a colorful type of person start small with a few bright bangles (I say the more the better!), then move into a colorful scarf! If you are feeling brave go with a fluorescent pair of jeans or top!
