Holy Cow, it was so warm today, I just can't believe it is March! Of course I had to take advantage of the warm weather and break out some of my new spring clothes! I adore this top, it is a cropped bra top, with a zipper up the back, I love how a sweetheart neckline looks on girls! I have been obsessed with my decolletage for years and I feel as if it is my best asset! Decolletage is a fancy word for a woman's chest, neck, shoulder, and collar bone area! So naturally you want to show off your best asset, I love to wear strapless tops! Today I was getting everything I needed to get done before my big move to a new salon! I am so excited to move to a bigger place and start the transition to bigger things!

Slammin Salmon

Pants, Vest, and Blazer- Forever21, White Tee- Old Navy, Shoes- Charlotte Russe, Thick Chain, Leopard Bangle- Forever21, Bone Bangles- Aldo, Watch- MK, Screw Bracelet- Mason's Boutique

Totally in love with all of the color for spring! I used to wear pretty much all black, white, and red, but lately I have been venturing out into the color world!  My new found color combo would have to be pink and navy! One is soft and girly and the other is a little more structured, I am not much of a girly girl so if I have something soft I like to tone it down with something dark and structured! I still have to maintain my trendy edge! If you have an outfit with all solids, don't be afraid to spice up your look with  a printed shoe or embellished bag!

Print Shop

I absolutely love mixing prints, I think it is so modern and fun! You can totally get away with not matching these days!  I like to mix dots with strips, floral with stripes, plaid and dots, Aztec and stripes, etc.. The possibilities are endless! I also love to layer, but with he warmer months coming up, that is a little tricky! You can always add a flowy or structured vest to any outfit, and for a night look add a light weight blazer!  Since the prints are so busy try to stay minimal on the accessories! If you have a lot of color try to balance it out with some neutral pieces!  Prints are very in your face looks, so remember that when pairing them together! You will definitely get a lot of looks, but always in a good way!

Violets Are Blue

Shirt, Skirt, Jacket, Polka dot Bangle- Forever21,  Shoes- Aldo, Watch- MK, Necklace- Maca Clothe

I finally got some fresh hair color today! I am so glad I found a replacement for my original red that was discontinued! And I got a new haircut, which I am pretty sad about because I loved my long hair! The weather today was beautiful, it was so warm that I didn't even need a jacket! When I checked the weather this morning, it was supposed to rain so I wanted a garment that had a hood! I love this skirt, for some reason I have a huge love for aline skater skirts! I would guess it is because I have a small waist, with fairly large hips, it is the most flattering shape for my body type! I am a hug fan of an empire waist :-)! This shirt is actually a high, low but I just tucked it in, I liked the way the the flowy fabric laid just right over the skirt!

Jumper- Riffraff, Blazer and Shoes- Forever21, Glasses- Ray Ban, Necklace- Maca Clothe, Watch- MK,  Gold and silver- Brighton, Bangles- Forever21

I am totally in love with my new necklaces from Maca Clothe! I saw these on a model and just had to have them! I am obsessed with chunky chains right now! After the fashion show I had one of the girls hold them for me, I was not going to miss out on these very affordable items! The next day I was in town and wanted to stop by and get them, but they were still with the model! Jessica being the dear that she is, drove them up to Maca to meet me on her day off, can you say customer service? Thank you so much Jessica and Maca for not letting these chains slip through my hands!

The weather was insanely warm today, and I could not wait to break out my Jumper, or as my husband would say "gardening overalls"! It was still a little bit on the cooler side when I left the house this morning, so I threw on a lightweight linen blazer, and of course some platforms! I wanted to sort of dress up the plain jumper so I went with some huge statement jewelry! This outfit can go from day to night in a flash, day time blazer off : night time blazer on! Add a clutch and you are good to go!

Leopard from day to night!

Wearbender ASOS

I love, love, love leopard! Here is an example of how to dress it down for daytime, and how to spice it up as soon as the sun goes down! The sheer top has become an on point trend, they can be worn all year long! I also have become a huge fan of the color peachy pink, which is weird because I never used to be a pink girl! Peach looks amazing with the color of my hair and my fair skin oddly enough! A way to make your spots blend in with the daytime crowd, pair it with a cute pair of white skinny jeans and a structured pastel blazer! I like to keep my jewelry simple during the day, but I do love my arm candy so I still rock plenty of interesting pieces! During the day I am usually working so more than likely I am wearing flats, it's a cute way to dress up a casual outfit!!  And I would finish it off with a bag that can handle everything you could possibly need throughout the day!

The sun is beginning to set and you have places to be, and people to see, so what to wear? Make it easy on yourself and keep a piece from the day and pick your outfit around that! I love the thought of a leather skirt, and the fact that it is an Aline skirt makes it even better, a little rock and roll mixed with a cutesy flow! And because it is spring you should definitely rock the trend of neon and gem tones! Pick out a statement shoe that will catch peoples' attention from far away, along with a lightweight jacket in a contrasting hue! Keep the jewelry to a minimal, a few large bangles and some unique earrings!  Also nobody wants to lug around a huge tote at night so gather the necessities such as;  lipgloss, compact, wallet, money, cell phone and keys,  and pop them into a sleek interesting clutch! Don't be afraid to pick a wacky clutch, it is a really great trend right now, the bolder the better!

NWAFW Day 4

Skirt- Express, Blazer and Vest- Forever21, Shirt- Old Navy, Socks- Dillards, Boots- Frye, Bangles- Aldo, Forever21, H&M

Tonight was the final night, and probably the most crazy of them all! We had about 4 boutiques to do! The makeup for all of the boutiques was super fun and enjoyable to do! Of course having great girls and shop owners makes things a lot easier! I saw this skirt on Express.com and I just had to have it, I knew right away that I would wear my denim shirt with it! I am a huge layering addict so naturally I have like 3 or 4 on! Again I am wearing my favorite flowy vest and a blazer, what can I say I love flow with structure! And you know that I am always accessorized to the maximum! If I wouldn't have had to be on my feet all day I would have worn some cute platforms, but I think I permanently damaged my feet on the first night from that mistake! I always say beauty is pain, but not when it comes to your feet, you kind of need those! I really like to stand out in a crowd so I always try to push the style boundaries just a bit! Always go with a crazy busy focal point and mix it with flow and androgynous structure, such as a boyfriend blazer or button up! Don't be afraid, you know you want to be the center of attention in fashion!

Tonight's show included one of my favorite stores, Riffraff! The owner of the boutique is Kirsten Blowers and she definitely knows how to pick great items! Riffraff is a super fun and trendy, affordable place to shop, with a super sweet staff! The show included super bright gem tone colors, perfect for a fashionable spring look! And being the accessory queen that I am, makes me totally in love with this show! I love huge, gaudy, statement pieces and this is the place to find those! You will for sure stand out in a crowd when you dress yourself with Riffraff! As for the look of the girls they kept it nice and sweet with a very smokey bronze eye, dewy cheeks, and a bright red or fuchsia lip! If you ever find yourself remotely close to the Fayetteville square, make it a priority of yours to stop in! You can also shop online which is super convenient!  You will be not regret it and will be thanking me later! Your Welcome ;-)!!!!!  Thanks again Riffraff for your generosity, we really really appreciated it!

NWAFW Day 3

Fashion week is in full swing, today we were so swamped!  I got to the show today and was ready to beautify people, and my friends and I did just that! Our first show was Savior Fair, the ladies were so beautiful and had great ideas for makeup! The concept for the girls was a dewy beach bronze look with a bright red, berry, or coral lip! The owner of the boutique is Tess Labeth and she has impeccable style! The bright colors, luxurious fabrics, and unique headpieces were truly a beautiful spectacle!
Tess and her beautiful model! (picture from Savior Fair)

Next up was Bach Clothiers, men's clothing boutique! We of course didn't have to do much to the men but they also had ladies in the show too! They put the girls in men's button up shirts, and the concept was "5 ways to wear your boyfriend's shirt!" The makeup concept for the show was obviously tousled hair, and sex kitten makeup! It reminded me of Brigitte Bardot!

As for my outfit that night I wanted to be comfortable but of course stylish! I love the trend of mixing prints so I went with a striped cotton skater dress with a checked button up, tied at my waist! I dressed it up a little bit with a classic black boyfriend blazer and tights! It was like a sauna back in the makeup room so the blazer was on and off through the night, but still super cute! I loved the high energy work space, and can't wait to do next year's show!

Wooooo Hoooo! Day 2 is done, now just 2 more to go! Tonight was a blast, we got to do some pretty awesome makeup today and got to see some amazing clothing lines! The atmosphere in the makeup room is out of control fun, we have loud music and crazy personalities! My favorite show by far tonight had to have been Esque! Leslie Pennel is truly an amazing designer, she had a unique vision and followed it all the way down to the makeup! She had a hand in everything and I think that is what a true artist is! Her imagination was so creative, her looks were inspired by the big top circus! The circus theme wasn't anything like you would expect, it was the most chic circus I have ever been to! You could not go wrong with her color palette of black and white, and all the dresses were simply flawless! I wish I could have got a picture of this amazing pant suite jumper, that I'm pretty sure I will just die if I don't have it in my closet! It was black and white wide stripe, ruffled strapless, with and empire cinched waist! I always loved the movie Beetlejuice, and this pant suite paid perfect homage to it! I absolutely love fashion and what I do, I can't wait to see what the future holds for me! I will post more over the weekend but tomorrow after the show is an after party and I probably wont be home until really late, so until then!!!!!

NWAFW

All Makeup provided by L'OREAL

We were like kids in a candy store!

My adorable friend Jodi! Still looks great after a long day of creating! What an amazing artist, Love him!

Well today was the first day of Fashion Week! It was the Shop Local food drive/ Preview show! I was so nervous at first, because I didn't know what to expect and I am definitly an over thinker!  Safely to say it went off without a hitch, and I began to think that I had psyched myself out for nothing! All the beautiful ladies were so sweet! My dear friend Jodi was my neighbor today, and for the rest of the week I will be teaming up with him, and couldn't be happier! Jodi has made such a name for himself in Fayetteville and I am so proud to be working beside him! I have also met a lot of fun people! Everyone who put this whole project together were very welcoming and kind! I am so proud to be a part of such a great cause! All the proceeds from all the shows will go to a charity of choice!

Fashion Week!

Let the Fun Begin!

Shirt- Ralph Lauren, Jeans- Gap, Vest- Forever21, Head wrap- Forever21, Shoes- Urbanog, Bangles- Aldo, Forever21, Watch- MK, Silver Snap Bracelet- Mason's Boutique, Necklace- Forever21

Well it is the first day of Northwest AR Fashion Week! I am so excited to be involved in such a wonderful cause! I am doing makeup with my friend Jodi for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows! I will be such a busy girl, I am working at my shop in the morning then taking off to do makeup in the afternoon, I going to be burning a lot of gas! I will be sure to take a ton of pictures, but I am ready for some high energy work, it keeps me on my toes! I sure do love a challenge! Today I decided to go with a little more casual look considering I would be dressing up all week! I am absolutely loving this vest, it literally goes with everything! And lets face it you can never go wrong with a structured button up, and a pair of bootcut jeans! It was so funny today because my boss asked me if I had to buy new jeans to wear with these gigantic shoes?! I said "uhhhhh no I have a few pair of jeans that I never hemmed so I have to have huge shoes to be able to wear them!" I am super short anyway so almost all jeans have to be hemmed to fit these tiny legs! I am off to bed, a girl needs her beauty sleep! More pictures to come later this week, I will try to keep up to date but could more than likely fall behind! I will be one sleepy, worn out girl!
